Tonight I had a woman call me asking if I could plan a trip to France for herself and her sister--- For early November-- Three women had paid in full for a pilgrimage and now cannot get any information from the company...This company is based in Garland, Texas.

They believe that they have been scammed...Have any of you dealt with this company? or do you have any knowledge of their business tactics?
Thank-you...

Not having the name of the company it is hard to tell, but i checked the Better Business Bureau and only found one agency listed for Garland. Bear in mind, though, it is a suburb of Dallas, so you never know if it is actually located there or not.

Sorry about that. It didn't register with me that was the name. One of those days. If you do a google search for Renaissance Pilgrimages, you will also find Renaissance Pilgrimages scams from earlier this year. They also receive a c+ from the BBB, so I'd be a little hesitant to book them.

Thank-you for your input..
Hopefully these women shall get reimbursed ..I have suggested that they look through our list of approved vendors for a trip next year..(and use a credit card, not a check)
I do believe that they will use a travel agent from now on and not try to find vacations on the internet...

FYI;
The women involved in this fiasco called the police and three days later received most of their money back.. They are owed @ $200 each...
Thanks for your input...

I checked the Garland BBB and they are not a BBB company and have an F rating. To see it all go to http://www.bbb.org/dallas/business-reviews/tours-operators-and-promoters/renaissance-pilgrimages-in-garland-tx-90016512.

Thank-you to all..
This does show that the consumers need to be careful and check these sites before sending money,,,
It, also, points out that it is very beneficial to work with a reliable travel agent.....
