Reading will be celebrating 140 years of the Victorian stitched tapestry as part of the celebration of its Norman heritage in 2026 and 2027 (Year of the Normans).

The only original, full-scale replica of the original Norman tapestry, which tells the story of the Norman invasion of England in 1066, was created by 38 Victorian ladies in 1885 and is exact in nearly every detail to the original.

Small group tours for up to 20 as well as regular guided tours are available all year.
