Buy a small inexpensive soft-sided cooler (like you would take lunches to work in). Use that instead of a makeup bag. It keeps your makeup fresh and should you need a little cooler for food, water etc...just remove the makeup, add a little ice and "voila"...instant cooler/ice chest. Particularly good for European trips where a picnic of wine and cheese just happens!
